Biology Promoters
We are seeking motivated students to represent the Department of Biology in a new pilot program called Biology Promoters. Students selected as Promoters will volunteer at some of the recruitment, orientation, and other student-related events throughout the year such as Freshmen Orientation, Open House, What’s Up BIO!, Admitted Students Day, and graduation (for students not graduating). In addition, volunteers are expected to hold virtual mini-sessions with admitted students to discuss their experiences with our program. Promoters will also be expected to meet monthly as a group.
Preferred qualifications:
- Declared BS-Biology, BA-Biology, or BS-Biochemistry major
- Minimum of 30 semester hours completed
Promoters will receive:
- Promoter name tag with your preferred name, after completing 5 volunteer hours
- certification of appreciation from the Department of Biology upon graduation
- potential additional rewards may be available in the future
