Biology faculty published book on the natural history of Earth’s ancient lakes

Dr. Jeff McKinnon (Biology) recently published a book entitled Our Ancient Lakes: A Natural History with MIT Press. This is a wonderful book that relays the interesting natural history of the world’s ancient lakes to the public in an engaging way that also helps the public understand the fundamental principles of ecology and evolutionary biology and the importance of conserving biodiversity.

Dr. McKinnon also recently discussed his book with the public at our local Barnes and Noble and has several other events on his book planned for the next few months including a seminar on ECU’s campus on Feb 22 at 4 PM in the Life Sciences and Biotechnology Building.
