Dr. Erin Field features on National Public Radio’s Science Friday

Erin Field was interviewed by Ira Flatow on NPR’s Science Friday on October 16, 2020. She was featured due her work exploring the microbiome of shipwrecks – in particular the Pappy’s Lane shipwreck located in Pamlico Sound. Erin is exploring the role of microbes in the preservation (or lack thereof) of shipwrecks.
