ECU’s BS Biochemistry program awarded with ASBMB Accreditation

The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB) recently reviewed and approved a request for the accreditation of ECU’s BS in Biochemistry degree. ASBMB has accredited more than 100 programs nationwide since 2013 and East Carolina University represents the third accredited program in the state of NC. This accreditation signifies that the ASBMB recognizes ECU’s BS Biochemistry program as upholding the highest standards of quality and innovation in biochemistry and molecular biology education and provides students with a curriculum that aligns with the fundamental concepts and critical reasoning skills needed by individuals with interests in pursuing a career in biochemistry.
