Heartfelt Thank You to Pirate Nation
Dear Supporters of the Department of Biology,
We are overwhelmed with gratitude as we reflect on the generosity and support shown by our Pirate Nation community during the recent Pirate Nation Gives campaign. We are still waiting on final numbers but we know we had more than 15 unique donors who contributed in excess of $1300. Your contributions have not only bolstered our department but have also reaffirmed the strength of our bonds within the Pirate family.
Your dedication to our cause goes beyond mere financial support; it represents a shared belief in the transformative power of education and the pursuit of excellence. With your help, we are better equipped to continue our mission of providing our students with a high-quality education and opportunities to engage in research that will help to propel them into future careers.

To our graduating seniors that contributed to the Pirate Nation Gives campaign, your philanthropic investment in ECU has earned you a Philanthropy Honor Cord. Your contribution symbolizes your commitment to making a difference within our department. Those who donated received an email with specific details about how to obtain your philanthropy honor cords. Please contact ecualumni@ecu.edu if you have additional questions regarding obtaining your cords.
If you missed out on obtaining your philanthropy honor cords, the deadline to contribute $20.24 and receive cords has been extended until Sunday, March 31st. Additional information is on the Pirate Nation Gives website. You can donate to any fund of your choice but, if you would like to support the Department of Biology you will need to select “I want to choose my own designation” on the donation page, then click the arrow beside Harriot College of Arts and Sciences and then scroll to and select the biology departmental fund of your choice.
